This article in The Globe and Mail takes a look at guerrilla gardening around the world. My favorite bit is about the students at University of Victoria who dug up a neglected stretch of lawn and planted a vegetable garden in its place. Police are now considering charging the students with vandalism. As I look out at the former field I converted into a vegetable garden on my own property a few years ago, I feel slightly more like a rebel than I normally do.
