An increasing number of studies are showing that plants are able to make decisions in defiance of the long-held belief that a creature must possess a brain and central nervous system to form even rudimentary thoughts.

The New York Times ran an article this week about the growing popularity of terrariums. I can't remember the last time I constructed one of these or even saw one in someone's home. Not since grade school would be my guess. I've linked to the slideshow (and not to the article although there is one) since it's the pictures that interest me more than a rundown on a fad I'm unlikely to participate in.
